TV presenter, writer and environmentalist Philippa Forrester to host Nature of Work Live

October 5, 2021 1:00 pm

Particularly experienced in live TV, Philippa Forrester has presented everything from children’s TV to Tomorrow’s World and Robot Wars, as well as many wildlife programmes. From 2010, she produced four series of the very popular Halcyon River Diaries, which followed her family as they discovered and worked to conserve the ecology of a river at the bottom of their garden, in particular otters. Also an accomplished writer, Philippa has degrees in both English and Ecology & Conservation, and recently published On the Trail of Wolves after spending a year in the wilds of Wyoming studying these often controversial creatures. We are truly delighted that she is to present Nature of Work Live.

Philippa Forrester will present Nature of Work Live in November

Philippa says: “I am thrilled to be hosting Nature of Work Live in November, curated by Digital Workplace Group. Being so passionate about wildlife and nature, I was really energized by the book Nature of Work, which is the premise for the event. Bringing the beauty, simplicity and cohesion of nature into the world of work is inspired and may well just change the way we work – truly a new story of work for a living age.”

What is the ‘living age’?

We’ve all heard of the ‘industrial age’. And since then, we’ve gone through the ‘information age’, ‘knowledge age’ and, more recently, the ‘digital age’.

What we see now is a ‘living age’, an age defined by our relationship with nature and all that is alive (including humans); one that starts to repair the damage done to our planet and to rebuild a healthy, functional and respectful relationship with nature and each other. Read Paul Miller’s article on the living age.
